Today was Christina’s day off from Winding Creek Ranch and she was headed to the library, she had promised Audrey to think about giving a small talk at the library to lighten everyone’s mood after the big murder case had happened.

“Hi Audrey,” Christina said as she walked over to the librarian’s desk area.

“Hey Christina, it’s great to see you. We’ve all missed having you around,” Audrey replied.

“Thanks, I started working part-time at Winding Creek Ranch and today’s my day off and I wanted to come and write. I truly enjoy spending time here,” Christina explained.

“Oh, great to hear. I thought that maybe you felt pressured to give me an answer regarding the request to hold a small talk for the town members that wanted to join,” Audrey admitted.

“No, don’t be silly. I just wanted to give myself a new challenge and working at the ranch came at the perfect timing. It’s given me new ideas and experiences that I can now share in my books,” Christina said still not sure what her decision was regarding giving them a small talk when suddenly Audrey was direct and asked her.

“So, will you give the small talk?”

“Yeah, sure” Christina’s said without her even realizing what was coming out of her mouth.

“Great! I can’t wait. I think everyone will really enjoy seeing you back in town and hearing words of encouragement,” Audrey said as she started jotting down topic ideas, set up for the chairs and podium, she hit the ground running.

“Wow, you’re already starting. You’re not wasting any time, I see” Christina said with a nervous chuckle.

“Well, it’s not every day that you have a famous writer in town interested to engage in meaningful conversation with the town’s residents,” Audrey said with a huge smile.

“Oh, please, don’t see me as a famous writer. I really am not. I was just trying to encourage myself when I was feeling down and this book came out of me and people took a liking to it. Things just evolved from there and here I am now. But I promise you, I'm not a guru or anything. I’m learning as I live life and experience things myself,” Christina said explaining that she wasn’t more than a mere human with experiences that was just voicing how she helped herself rise from the ashes and move forward in life.

“You’re being modest” Audrey said as she smiled and walked guiding Christina to her favorite spot in the library where Audrey had laid out magazines and other research materials that she knew Christina always read while she was in the library.

“Thank you, you are exceptionally kind” Christina said as she placed her laptop on the desk and got her writing tools out.

“It’s not a problem. I know you’re trying your best. It’s been difficult for you since you were small. I’ve read your books and I know your family. Life isn’t easy for any of us but it’s that resilience that makes it all the more wonderful. Seeing you dust yourself
